INET stands for Indian Navy Entrance Test,which is a national level entrance exam conducted by Indian Navy twice a year in the month of February and September for screening for Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer candidates in Executive,Technical and Education Branch of the Indian Navy.The selected candidates undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy(INA) Ezhimala,Kerala.
INET Exam Pattern:-
The INET exam is of 2 hours duration. It contains 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ's) comprising questions on English,Reasoning & Numerical Ability,General Science,Mathematical Aptitude and General Knowledge.There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer and 4 marks are provided for every correct answer.The candidates need to qualify in all the sections to be considered for shortlisting in SSB interview.The SSB interviews are held at Bangalore,Bhopal,Visakhapatnam and Kolkata.The final merit list is made on the basis of marks scored in INET and SSB tests subject to qualifying Medical examination.
