Indian Navy-Senior Secondary Recruits(SSR) & Artificer Apprentice(AA) exam popularly known as Sailor entry is a natiional level online exam conducted by Indian Navy twice a a year in the month of February and August to select unmarried male undergraduates for the Indian Navy. The selected candidates are given a basic training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training at various Naval training establishments.
How to join Indian Navy:-
To join Indian Navy as a Sailor-SSR & AA an applicant needs to appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT) which consists questions of English,Science,Mathematics and General Knowledge.The candidates who clear the written exam are called for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and medical examination.The final merit list for selection of Artificer Apprentice (AA) is on all India order of merit where as for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) is on the State wise merit depending on the performance in written test, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in medical examinations.
