Course Specifications

GD Constable is a national level competitive exam organised by SSC for those young male and female candidates who wish to serve the nation and join the Border Security Force(BSF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF),Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF),Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP),Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB),National Investigation Agency(NIA),Secretariat Security Force(SSF) and Rifleman(GD) in Assam Rifles.

How to join Central Police Forces:-
Young energetic aspirants who have passed the 10th class or equivalent from affiliated board can appear in the SSC GD exam.The SSC GD exam is conducted in following steps:-
1. Computer Based Examination(CBE)
2. Physical Efficiency Test(PET)
3. Physical Standard Test(PST)
4. Medical Examination.
The candidates who clear the written exam are shortlisted for PET/PST and those who qualify in PET/PST appear for detailed medical examination.The final merit list is made on State wise except for NIA and SSF which is on All India basis.
